Two Thumbs Down

I just watched a clip on YouTube called "When I become a teacher" . I believe the director wanted to show the side of teaching that disgusts people and gives the teaching profession a bad name. The people interviewed looked miserable and said everything that is totally against what I believe in. People were saying I want to "teach to the test", "lecture all day long", and "I'm retiring so it doesn't matter". I believe if you don't like something, just stop. If a teacher doesn't want to teach then they are hurting every student they encounter. Miserable attitudes do not have any place in a learning environment. If I was in that video i would say....

When I become a teacher I'll do everything I can to make sure my students have the resources to succeed!!!

  1. I completely agree with you that video does give teachers a bad name. That is the perfect example of what not to do in the teaching profession. There is no room for misery in this field. I agree with you, if you don't like what you are doing, then stop doing it. This is a profession where you need to be passionate about your students and their futures, they are in your hands. IF you are unhappy as a teacher I can guarantee your students are unhappy in your class and that is just unacceptable.
